Fuengirola is preparing to transform its fairgrounds into a nostalgic paradise for petrolheads and admirers for the sleekest, most classic lines on 4 wheels. Being held on March 22, the town will host its inaugural Classic Car Concentration, a rally event designed to celebrate automotive history while at the same time raising important funds for children battling cancer.

Historic vehicles meet charitable giving

Local officials recently unveiled the details of this first-ever gathering in Fuengirola. Organised by the Club Retro Sport together with the town hall, the rally is all about community spirit. Every €10 registration fee will be donated directly to AVOI (the Association of Volunteers for Childhood Oncology) to make sure that the passion for vintage motors translates into tangible support for young patients.

A full day of retro excitement

Visitors can expect a packed itinerary that starts off early at the Fuengirola Fairgrounds. Following the initial reception of vehicles at 9am, a grand parade will wind through the streets at 11am, accompanied by a traditional aperitif. Once the midday sun hits, a massive charity paella will be served from 2pm, providing a perfect opportunity for collectors and visitors to mingle and chat about the classic motors. Finally, the day concludes at 4pm with an awards ceremony crowning the finest vehicles across various different age categories.

How to join the convoy

Limited spaces mean that interested drivers must act quickly to get hold of their spot. Registrations remain open until March 15 (although there may be an extension), and organisers have urged enthusiasts to book early to avoid disappointment. Anyone wishing to display their classic gem or learn more about the event can contact the organisation directly at +34 622 18 51 20.

Fuengirola’s debut on the historic vehicle calendar promises more than just shiny chrome and roaring engines; it offers a chance to drive change for a truly noble cause.
