Benitachell’s Department of Tourism is set to host a special, experience-based workshop, “Despertando los sentidos,” or “Awakening the Senses,” this June. This month’s latest workshop instalment invites residents and visitors alike to explore their artistic side through an immersive, outdoor landscape painting workshop, designed to spark creativity while also letting participants revel in the stunning natural landscape of the municipality from a privileged viewpoint.

A year of sensory experiences and workshops

The workshop, which will take place at 10:00am at the Benitachell Municipal Library on Saturday, June 27, is part of an active tourism programme that will deliver a wide berth of sensory-focused experiences, based on the success of previous editions. Some of the other workshops to be offered (and which have also been successes in the past) include hands-on sessions in artisanal pottery, local honey production, wild foraging cuisine, and photography.

Benitachell will be rolling out monthly sensory workshops this year, adding to the appeal of the municipality for tourists and offering locals a chance to socialise, create, and bring out their artistic prowess in a unique and fun way.

Capturing the Mediterranean landscape of Benitachell

In this month’s edition, participants will have the opportunity to capture the vibrant textures, dramatic cliffs, and sweeping Mediterranean views that make Benitachell one of the Costa Blanca’s most charmingly beautiful municipalities. This landscape painting workshop aims to do more than simply teach artistic technique; it encourages attendees to slow down, connect deeply with the local environment, and translate the region’s intense morning light into a personal work of art.

How to secure your spot for this unique experience

The workshop will be open to people of all artistic skill levels and ages, but spaces will be limited, so those interested in joining in on the event are encouraged to reserve their spot by contacting the Benitachell Town Hall via phone at T. 966 49 35 46, or via email at turisme@elpoblenoudebenitatxell.com
