The air will be filled with the sultry sounds of the blues this July, as the Benalmadena Blues Festival comes to town, treating music fans to a stunning international lineup on July 2 and 3 2026.
A fantastic line up over the two night
The event takes place over two nights at the stunning Benalmadena Auditorium, with doors opening at 7:30pm and music starting at 8pm. Tickets start from €20 per night and are available online via the official ticketing platform through the auditorium website.
An impressive lineup features three major names from the international blues scene. John Primer, 3 time Grammy award nominee and a true Chicago blues legend, on Thursday, July 2, award winning Giles Robson, Britain’s leading blues harmonica player, described as One Of The Greatest Living Blues Harmonica Players, also on July 2 and followed by Ghalia Volt, Belgian blues rock singer, guitarist, drummer and songwriter. The talented powerhouse with family roots in Malaga, headlining Friday, July 3.
Supporting acts are equally as impressive across both nights, including Joaco Viera Band and Anna Dukke, with local group Blues Reunion opens each evening. Thursday leans into traditional, pure blues with the Friday turning up the volume with a more electric, contemporary blues-rock edge.
Organisers have assembled a truly impressive bill, delivering local Spanish talent with star names from the United States, United Kingdom and Belgium. Music fans visiting the Costa del Sol this summer are encouraged to combine a trip to picturesque Benalmadena to enjoy a night or two of world-class blues.
