Fans strolling through the historic streets of Seville were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime moment when Robbie Williams unexpectedly joined a busker to perform one of his biggest hits.

The British pop icon, who was in the city ahead of his headline appearance at the Icónica Santalucía Sevilla Fest, stopped in the picturesque Santa María la Blanca area after hearing a street musician performing his 1997 classic Angels. Instead of simply listening, Williams walked over, grabbed the microphone and began singing alongside the performer, leaving stunned tourists and locals scrambling to capture the moment on their phones.

Videos of the impromptu duet quickly spread across social media, with many describing it as the highlight of their visit to Seville.

An unforgettable moment for fans

There was no stage, no security barrier and no elaborate production: just Robbie Williams, a guitar, a street performer and a growing crowd singing every word back to him.

The spontaneous performance perfectly reflected the singer’s reputation for connecting with audiences, whether he’s performing in front of thousands of people or entertaining passers-by in a narrow city street.

Those lucky enough to witness the surprise gig applauded as Williams smiled, joked with the crowd and turned an ordinary evening into an unforgettable experience. The relaxed atmosphere only added to the magic, with many fans saying they could hardly believe what they were seeing.

Building excitement for his Spanish show

The street performance came just hours before Williams was due to take to the stage at Seville’s Plaza de España as part of the Icónica Santalucía Sevilla Fest, his only concert in Andalucía during his 2026 world tour.

The tour celebrates his latest album, Britpop, while also revisiting classics from throughout his career, including songs from his breakthrough solo album Life Thru A Lens. Fans attending the festival were expecting favourites such as Let Me Entertain You, Millennium, No Regrets and, of course, Angels.

Why fans still love Robbie

Three decades after launching his solo career, Robbie Williams continues to prove why he remains one of Britain’s most enduring entertainers. Rather than keeping his distance from fans, he embraced an unexpected opportunity to perform in one of Seville’s busiest streets, creating a genuine moment that no amount of planning could have replicated.

For those who happened to be walking through the city centre, it became far more than a celebrity sighting. It was an intimate performance from one of pop’s biggest stars, delivered free of charge and completely unannounced.

As social media clips continue to rack up views, many fans are calling it one of the most heartwarming music moments of the summer… and a reminder that sometimes the best concerts happen when you least expect them.
