Muchamiel is hosting a massive free 2000s music festival this July

The municipality of Muchamiel is preparing to host an unforgettable night of music, nostalgia, and community fun. On Saturday, July 18, 2026, the idyllic Parque el Canyar de les Portelles will be the host for the highly anticipated summer concert, titled “Efecto 2000,” an event dedicated to one of the most vibrant eras in music. 

A nostalgic trip back to the turn of the millennium

Kicking off at 9:00pm, this special event promises to blend local musical talent with a festive, high-energy party atmosphere, as well as provide residents and visitors with a place to gather, socialise, and enjoy some of the most popular tunes from the 2000s.

Symphonic sounds and a full-scale summer fiesta

One of the main highlights of the event will be a performance by renowned local musical society the Societat Musical L’Aliança, a group that is known for its exceptional musicianship and deep cultural roots in the municipality. The band will lead the audience on a musical journey inspired by the turn of the millennium. Packed with nostalgic hits and lively arrangements that are sure to get the crowd singing along, this July, Muchamiel will be moving to classic hits. Not only that, this open-air concert will be entirely free to attend.

The music aspect, however, will not be the only draw. After the concert begins, the evening will become a full-scale summer fiesta within the park. Post-concert entertainment will be available, including live street music performances, a high-spirited xaranga (or traditional brass band march), and a live DJ spinning dance tracks late into the night.
