Cancer Support Mallorca celebrates the volunteers changing lives across the island

A kind word, a listening ear or a lift to a medical appointment can mean everything to someone facing cancer. While those small acts often happen quietly behind the scenes, they have a life-changing impact. This Volunteers’ Week, Cancer Support Mallorca is shining a light on the volunteers whose compassion and generosity help ensure no one has to face a cancer diagnosis alone.

The charity described its volunteers as “at the heart of everything we do”, recognising the invaluable contribution they make every day. Whether providing emotional support, helping clients access services, driving people to appointments, translating conversations, answering calls or assisting at fundraising events, volunteers play a vital role in ensuring no one has to face cancer alone.

The organisation said every act of kindness, no matter how small, helps create a stronger support network for people and families across Mallorca.

A growing community of support

As part of the celebrations, Cancer Support Mallorca reflected on the sense of community that has developed among its volunteers. Staff highlighted the success of a recent volunteer gathering, where members of the team had the opportunity to meet, share experiences and enjoy time together outside their usual roles.
