Felanitx ends Sant Agustí celebrations with laughter, heartfelt thanks and eyes on 2027

Felanitx has officially wrapped up its 2026 Sant Agustí festivities, ending the annual celebration with a night of comedy, community spirit and heartfelt appreciation for everyone who helped make the event a success.

The final evening took place in the town’s Municipal Park, where hundreds gathered to enjoy a performance by much-loved Mallorcan comedian Agustín El Casta. Known for his sharp observations and unmistakable island humour, the entertainer had the audience laughing from start to finish, providing a fitting finale to one of the municipality’s biggest annual celebrations.

The comedy show marked the end of a packed programme of events that has brought residents and visitors together over recent weeks for music, culture, family activities and traditional festivities.

Council thanks emergency services and volunteers

As the festival came to a close, Felanitx Town Hall took the opportunity to publicly thank the many people whose work happened behind the scenes.

Mayor Catalina Soler led the tributes, recognising the efforts of the Local Police, Guardia Civil and Civil Protection volunteers for helping ensure the celebrations ran safely and smoothly.

The council also highlighted the contribution of the municipal maintenance brigade and street-cleaning teams, who worked throughout the festivities to keep streets, parks and public spaces clean despite the increased number of visitors attending events across the town.

Community praised for festive spirit

Town officials also reserved special praise for the people of Felanitx, thanking residents for their positive attitude, participation and respect throughout the celebrations.

The council said the enthusiasm shown by the community is what continues to make the Sant Agustí festivities one of the most anticipated dates in the local calendar each year.
