Chocolate dessert trail brings sweet September treats to Pilar de la Horadada

Chocolate lovers have the whole of September to work their way around a new dessert trail taking place across Pilar de la Horadada and its coastal areas.

Chocolate Around Pilar de la Horadada runs until Wednesday, September 30, with ten restaurants, cafes and ice cream shops creating special chocolate desserts priced between €4 and €7.

The event has been organised around International Chocolate Day on Sunday, September 13, although there is no need to squeeze every dessert into a single day.

The special creations will remain available throughout September during each participating venue’s normal opening hours.

Businesses taking part can be found across Pilar de la Horadada, Torre de la Horadada, Pueblo Latino and Pinar de Campoverde, allowing residents and visitors to explore different parts of the municipality while sampling the desserts.

The ten participating venues are Plaza, Bocarriba Cocina, Di Como, Dos.30, La Maison del Helado, Manolo’s Mar, Parthenope, Plaza in Pueblo Latino, T1 and Torremar.

Prices for the individual chocolate creations range from €4 to €7.

There is also a small souvenir for anyone taking part in Chocolate Around Pilar de la Horadada.

Free commemorative magnets are available from participating venues, giving chocolate fans something to take home after trying the desserts.

With the trail running for the entire month rather than being restricted to International Chocolate Day itself, visitors have plenty of time to sample several creations rather than attempting a heroic chocolate marathon in one sitting.

Individual desserts and further details can be checked through the Pilar de la Horadada tourism service before visiting, as serving times depend on the normal opening hours of each restaurant, cafe or ice cream shop.

Chocolate Around Pilar de la Horadada continues until September 30

The dessert trail continues until Wednesday, September 30, providing almost a full month for people to visit the ten participating businesses.

The event spreads beyond Pilar de la Horadada itself into Torre de la Horadada, Pueblo Latino and Pinar de Campoverde.
