Monover will bring local food, wine, crafts and music together when its annual Local Produce Fair heads to the village of Xinorlet on Sunday, September 20.
Running from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM, the fourth edition will feature Monover wineries alongside food producers, craftspeople and organisations from the surrounding area, with tastings, workshops, live entertainment and activities planned throughout the day.
Monover wineries and local food producers offer tastings throughout the eight-hour fair
Visitors will be able to sample a selection of locally produced food and drink, with six Monover wineries taking part in this year’s event.
Tastings will involve Bodegas Ortigosa, Bodegas Monover and Entretierras, while Queseria Los Molinos, Ecoespigas and the Alicante Wine Route are also among the organisations and producers participating.
The eight-hour event gives visitors plenty of time to explore the different stalls and discover products from Monover and the surrounding area.
It is the first time the Local Produce Fair has been held in Xinorlet, following previous editions that have helped showcase local wineries, producers and artisans.
Cultivated Biodiversity Fair puts sustainable agriculture and traditional crops in the spotlight
This year’s event will also welcome the Valencian Community Cultivated Biodiversity Fair, adding an agricultural focus to the programme.
The fair will highlight sustainable agriculture, traditional crop varieties and the importance of preserving local agricultural heritage.
Its inclusion broadens the event beyond food and wine tastings, providing an opportunity to learn more about the crops, farming traditions and biodiversity connected to the region.
The combination of the two events will bring producers, organisations and visitors together in Xinorlet for a full day centred on local products and rural traditions.
Vintage market, live music and guided visits add to Xinorlet’s programme of activities
Away from the food and wine, La Paca will set up a vintage market featuring crafts and other items.
Live music, workshops and children’s activities will also run during the day, giving families plenty to explore alongside the produce stalls and tastings.
Tourist Info Monover will organise guided visits, offering visitors the chance to discover more about Xinorlet and its rural surroundings while attending the fair.
The programme runs continuously from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 20.
