Arde Bogotá to premiere new album live in Cartagena with free event

In early October, Cartagena will be the main hub of live music on the Costa Calida for three hours as famed band Arge Bogotá premieres their new album on Campus Radio 3, a local station. Beginning at 7:00pm on Saturday, October 3, the nationally recognised alternative rock band will broadcast live from the courtyard of the Old Naval Training Barracks, allowing fans to tune in and stream their new album for the very first time.

A hometown headline act takes centre stage at university party this October

The event will be a grand party to celebrate the beginning of the school year for university students, and the headline act will be Arde Bogotá, a beloved band with their roots in Cartagena. Joining Arde Bogotá at the party will be artists joseluis, Hoonine, Sistema Nervioso, and La Patri.

A diverse lineup of regional talent

This lineup explores different genres of independent music, and allows listeners to discover artists from Cartagena and from areas all across the Region of Murcia. Joseluis, for example, is an emerging alternative pop artist whose songs have a touch of the relatable, ironic, and emotional. Hoonine, on the other hand, will bring a producer and composer’s perspective to the show, with a sound moving between electronic music, UK garage, house, and synthpop, embodying the energy of a rave.

The Naval Training Barracks, a historic venue with cultural significance

The setting will also be part of the experience. The courtyard of the former Naval Training Barracks, a space closely linked to the history of Cartagena and now fully integrated into its university and cultural life, doubles as one of the venues for the La Mar de Músicas festival in July.

Arde Bogotá is especially known and appreciated in Cartagena for putting its historical landmarks and recognisable areas at the forefront of its music videos, including the tunnels of El Espalmador, which were the setting of the band’s video, El club de la gente sola.

How to attend or stream the event and enjoy Arde Bogotá’s new album

Those interested in attending the event in person can pick up invitations for free from Thursday, September 24, at the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Centre, beginning at 5:00pm. There is a limit of two invitations per person. The event can also be streamed on the Radio 3 official website and app.

“We’ve watched this band grow from Cartagena to become one of the biggest names in Spanish music, and the fact that they’ve chosen their city to share this new work with the public for the first time means a great deal to us. It will be a night to celebrate their music, but also the talent that originates in Cartagena and is capable of reaching the entire country,” Mayor of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo said.
