Barkinside Animal Sanctuary fundraiser brings lunch and live music to Hondon

Animal lovers can enjoy lunch, live music and a raffle while raising money for Barkinside Animal Sanctuary at a special fundraiser in Hondon de los Frailes.

The sanctuary is joining forces with The Tipsy Terrace for the fundraising lunch on Wednesday, October 7, with money raised helping to support its animal rescue and rehoming work. Guests are asked to arrive at 1:00 PM, ready for lunch at 1:30 PM.

Live music and raffle support Barkinside

Entertainment during the afternoon will be provided by musician Jan van Droffelaar, combining the fundraising lunch with live music.

A raffle will also be held to raise additional funds for Barkinside Animal Sanctuary.

Money raised during the event will help the sanctuary continue caring for animals and finding suitable new homes for those that are ready for adoption.

The afternoon offers supporters an opportunity to contribute to the rescue’s work while enjoying a social lunch and entertainment at The Tipsy Terrace.

Two and three-course menus available

Diners can choose between two courses for €22.95 or three courses for €25.95, with guests required to provide their menu choices when booking.

Starters include carrot and coriander soup, homemade chicken liver pâté, cauliflower fritters, spicy cod fishcakes and breaded mushrooms.

For the main course, options range from gammon steak and fish pie to a Tipsy Burger, Beyond Burger and five-bean and sweet potato curry.

Dessert choices include salted caramel and chocolate profiteroles, homemade chocolate mint cheesecake, mango and lemon sorbet and apple pie.

Vegetarian and vegan choices are available across the menu, giving diners a selection of alternatives when making their booking.

Fundraiser helps animal rescue and rehoming

Barkinside Animal Sanctuary works to care for animals and find suitable new homes for those available for adoption.

The October 7 event will provide another opportunity for supporters to help fund that work, with proceeds from the afternoon contributing to the sanctuary.

Guests should arrive at The Tipsy Terrace at 1:00 PM ahead of lunch at 1:30 PM.
