The Royal British Legion Orihuela Costa and District Branch will hold its annual Service of Remembrance in Mil Palmeras on Sunday, November 8.
The service will take place at Capilla de las Mil Palmeras, also known as the Church of a Thousand Palms, and will be conducted by Pastor Phil Molloy.
The annual gathering provides an opportunity for people from across Orihuela Costa and surrounding communities to come together for a shared act of remembrance.
Community gathers to remember the fallen
Remembrance Sunday provides an opportunity for members of the community to remember British and Commonwealth Armed Forces personnel who lost their lives in conflicts, as well as those who have served and sacrificed in the years since.
The occasion traditionally brings together veterans, serving personnel, their families and members of the wider community to reflect and pay their respects.
For the large international community living in and around Orihuela Costa, the Mil Palmeras service provides a local opportunity to mark Remembrance Sunday together.
Royal British Legion supports Armed Forces community
The Royal British Legion has been supporting members of the Armed Forces community for more than a century.
Its annual Poppy Appeal raises funds towards its welfare work, while Remembrance events bring together veterans, serving personnel, families and members of the wider community.

The November service will continue that local tradition, giving residents an opportunity to pay their respects together in Mil Palmeras.
The Service of Remembrance takes place on Sunday, November 8, at Capilla de las Mil Palmeras in Mil Palmeras.
