THINGS took a surprise turn for Iris Linnet – she is the “normal” one in the middle – when the cast of “Death in Venice” took a short break from rehearsal to sing happy birthday to her.
Iris was celebrating her 90th birthday with many of her close friends on the patio at Camping Los Gallardos when she suddenly found herself surrounded by the Arboleas Theatre Academy cast who are performing “Death in Venice” next weekend in the Miraflores Ballroom at the site.
With splendid musical accompaniment from Bruce Cooper on Saxophone, they all serenaded her with Happy Birthday.
“Today has been full of wonderful and totally unexpected surprises” said Iris, “It’s definitely a day I’ll remember for many years to come.”
