THE CASE for slander and disobedience against Mayor of Benacomarra, Abdeslam Lucena, has been temporarily suspended due to its relation to another case that has yet to be solved.
Lucena was accused of making slanderous claims against the high school headmaster on publicity billboards in the town and disobeying a court order to take them down.
The defence claims that the mayor was publicly denouncing the irregular placement of the headmaster in his job position, and this accusation is currently being tried as well.
The judge has suspended the proceedings until a conclusion is reached regarding this matter.
