CORKS were popping and cava was flowing at the Easy Horse Care Charity Store in La Zenia at their official opening.
Having opened in a blaze of glory just a few weeks earlier, the store was officially opened with the cutting of the ribbon by an emotional Sue Weeding, the lady who, along with her husband founded the charity just four years ago and has seen it grow as big as her dreams. “I was just overwhelmed at it and all the work the team have done here. The day has been a huge success with customers and well wishers coming through the doors leaving donations and I cannot believe the amount of people that have turned up.”
Due to the size of the shop, which is situated in Centro Commercial Zeniamar in Calle Maestro Torralba, donations of furniture can now be accepted and house clearances carried out and furniture has been flying out the window at record speed. “The shop is busy every day and there are some great bargains but we constantly need items to be donated, anything from furniture and white goods to the usual clothes and bric a brac. We do have a man with a van also so we can collect” Sue said.
If you would like to donate an item or can spare a few hours to volunteer your time at the La Zenia store or any of the other three, please contact Vicky directly on 636 062 000. The new La Zenia store is currently open from Monday to Friday 10am-4pm and Saturdays from 10am-2pm.
