ANDALUCIA’s doctors are the lowest-paid in Spain.Their salaries’ purchasing power has fallen by 35 per cent since the beginning of the crisis, found a report by the official College of Medicine.In every example studied, an Andalucia doctor’s salary was below the national average. Some are earning €2,200 a month less than their colleagues elsewhere in Spain.Owing to already-low earnings compared with doctors in other regions, Andalucia doctors were paid less for night-duty than most fourth or fifth-year resident MIR doctors in specialist training, the researchers also discovered.
