Malaga Mercadona shoplifters given nine months

A WOMAN caught stealing makeup from a supermarket and her three accomplices have all been given nine-month jail sentences.
A Malaga City court found the group guilty of shoplifting after hearing that while three of the people stayed inside a car keeping watch, another woman entered the Mercadona shop on Avenida de la Luz and smuggled out €332 worth of food and makeup which she handed over to her accomplices before re-entering.
On her way out again, this time with €858 worth of makeup hidden in her boots and belt, the woman was stopped by an employee who was injured in the resulting struggle.
A Malaga Provincial Court has confirmed the jail sentences and also fined the main culprit €180 for causing injuries and €70 in damages for her victim.
