A GROUP of pickpockets, who allegedly hugged and kissed victims to distract them while pinching their belongings, has been arrested by the National Police force.
The group, made up of one man and eight women, is believed to be behind at least eight thefts in Malaga province, and stolen items recovered by the police after arrests include a watch valued at €27,000, a mobile phone, and €275 and £285 in cash.
Arrests were made in Malaga, Gerona, Vizcaya and Santander and the alleged pickpockets were all Romanian and aged between 20 and 32, the police force reported.
