THE traditional women’s pilgrimage of the patron saint Virgen Nuestra Señora de la Antigua’s effigy kicked off the Los Marinos district festivities.The procession began at 7am and was witnessed by many locals and visitors.The festivity’s most important event will take place today (Thursday July 16) at 10pm, when the virgin’s effigy will be taken into the sea for a maritime procession. After that, there will be a fireworks show (11pm) and an open air dance.Festivities will continue until Saturday (July 18), with a wide variety of activities suitable for all.
