BUILT on a hill above the town of Benahavis, the Benahavis Hills Country Club caters to owners of the villas within its boundaries and local residents who want to enjoy a lifestyle, not just somewhere to exercise.
The imposing new building offers easy parking to members and a standard of service and finish which is truly second to none.
A brief description shows that there are two main levels, which offer a gymnasium with the latest Cybex equipment, an area for weekly yoga and pilates classes, treatment rooms, spa, indoor salt water pool which is heated in the winter, gourmet café, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi , outdoor pool and best of all; the breathtaking views from every part of the complex.
On a clear day, you can sit on the roof terrace and see Gibraltar and beyond.
When you consider the quality and range of services, cost of membership is surprisingly low, and takes into account the fact that not everyone lives in Spain all year round. You can take a 12 month contract for one person at just €99 per month, or for a family including children 15 and under at €169. What’s more, you will receive €20 credit each month to spend at the Hills Café. Daily and weekly membership is also available and all can be explained by the helpful staff.
Mention of the Hills Café needs some expansion as this offers more than you might expect.
Under the watchful eye of Belgian chef Jean- François, who has worked at top restaurants in Belgium and France, it presents a range of elegant yet contemporary lunches for both those studying their waistlines and others with a more substantial appetite. On Friday and Saturday, the café serves diners provided that reservations are made in advance.
The Benahavis Hills Country Club is closed on Mondays but is open from 10am to 8pm Tuesday to Friday and 11am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Words just don’t do justice to the Cluband you really need to visit the websitewww.benahavishills.com to see foryourself all that is offered.
