A FORTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD firefighter died in the Arroyo de la Miel neighbourhood of Benalmadena on Monday March 21 after falling from an industrial warehouse.
Emergency Services 112 received a phone call around 12.40pm reporting that a bird was perched atop the warehouse, and firefighters were sent to the scene.
The man was attempting to reach the animal when he slipped and plummeted to the ground. He experienced severe head trauma and damage to his abdomen, and was taken to the Malaga Regional Hospital, where he ultimately died due to the severity of his injuries.
