The aftermath of the explosion
ONCE again, thieves have used explosives to attack an ATM machine, this time at the BMN Bank in La Herradura in the early morning of January 10. So strong was the force of the explosion that it caused extensive damage to the front of the building, which also houses residents on the upper floors.
Both the Local Police and the Guardia Civil of Almuñecar are investigating the attack and it has not been revealed whether the thieves actually got away with any of the money.
What is certain however is that the people living above the bank had a major scare when the explosion occurred, although no-one has admitted to hearing a cockney say ‘You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off’.
