LORRY: Blocks the A-397 San Pedro to Ronda road
A POPULAR tourist route between the Costa del Sol and the historic town of Ronda has been blocked by an overturned lorry this afternoon (Thursday), causing major delays.
The vehicle toppled over on the A-397 road from San Pedro de Alcantara to Ronda at km 33 in the municipality of Benahavis and fortunately nothing was coming in the opposite direction on the road popular with day-trippers from the Costa del Sol
A crane is currently on the scene to remove the lorry.
There are no reports of injuries in the accident according to the 112-Andalucia emergency service control room.
Also, this afternoon, a mountain road in the Serrania de Ronda, between Jimera de Libar and Benaojan was partially blocked after a ‘substantial’ landslide following the recent heavy rains in the area.
