A 45-YEAR-OLD parachutist has died this morning (Thursday) after an accident on an airfield in the south of Spain. At around 10:15 this morning, emergency services were called to the airfield in the town of Bollullos de la Mitación, Sevilla. The Public Health Emergency Company (EPES), Local Police and a unit from the National Police attended the scene of the accident. Witnesses reportedly told emergency services that the man ‘landed violently’ on the airfield. According to Spanish media and an Emergency Services 112 statement, the parachutist died at the scene of the accident. An investigation is ongoing, looking into the circumstances of the man’s death.
