A GANG of youths who caused serious damage to cars by throwing stones from a bridge spanning the A-7 motorway in southern Spain have been identified by police.
In addition to shattering windscreens and causing body damage to the vehicles, many drivers reported were forced to make dangerous manoeuvres to take evasive action to avoid the stones.
The reckless act caused chaos on the fast stretch of road near Rincón de la Victoria, Malaga.
Guardia Civil officers in collaboration with Local Police have arrested one youth and identified four other alleged culprits.
The arrested youth has been identified as the main instigator of the events and is accused of several crimes against traffic safety and damage.
