Police investigate body of homeless man found in Granada

THE body of a local homeless man was found near a cave settlement of Carmen del Granaíllo.

Details of the case are still unclear however the Police have arrested a possible suspect for the killing. Early indications point to the man, who was found last Wednesday, June 26, being beaten with a blunt object but the body has been transferred to the coroner’s office for autopsy.

Upon interviews conducted by the police, witnesses described the man’s previous dwelling was torched by apparent arson the previous week, causing the man to find alternative residence.

It is not clear yet whether the two incidents are linked but eye witnesses of the fire seem to suggest the arsonist was a fellow cave dweller in the area.
