GUARDIA Civil arrested a man identified as the robber who broke into a home in Nijar. The victim woke up in the early hours of June 30 after hearing a loud bang at their front door and someone entering the property. Fearing for their safety they hid in a bathroom. From here the victim caught sight of a man moving around the adjacent room, watching him pocket a mobile phone and a €20 note they took from a purse. Information provided by the victim and from the crime scene led to the identification of 27-year old Y.H. as the suspected thief. According to the Guardia he has a record for similar crimes, and there was a search and arrest order for him in relation to a violent robbery in Murcia. Officers detained him when he went to the Guardia station offices on a completely unrelated matter.
