Fuengirola, Spain, creates its first vertical garden, in an initiative by the Ayuntamiento in Fuengirola. The initiative is called “Green Fuengirola” and aims to beautify the city. The first vertical garden will be created on the bridge in Los Boliches over the Arroyo Real. Similar vertical gardens will be installed in different places throughout the city to make the city greener.
“Beautifying Fuengirola with the installation of vertical gardens in different parts of the city is a proposal included in our electoral program”, says Mayor Ana Mula. The Mayor then continued to explain that “within three weeks, when the plants grow, everything is covered with flowers and the planters can’t be seen.
A vertical garden, for anyone who wonders what it is, is a wall of greenery, and soon you can enjoy several vertical gardens while out walking in Fuengirola!
