Jaipur Palace is a hugely satisfying Indian restaurant located just away from the busier areas of the Port of Cabopino. Since its opening in 2003 it has drawn in regular local repeat customers and the holiday crowd from the nearby campsite and rentals.

It serves all of the classic Indian dishes you crave but with a specials menu featuring interesting choices for those who wish to try something new. Recent ratings online are solid, reflecting consistently good tasty food and overall experience.

The ambiance is relaxed and unpretentious, with a comfortable dining space that suits everything from casual meals, small tables for couples and large round spacious tables for big families and groups. It has an outside area with water features and tables on different levels to ensure no one feels like they are sitting on top of each other.

The poppadums were crisps and delicious, perfect with a cold beer

The service is easy-going and unassuming and the evening is not rushed. You can hear repeat dishes and menu choices with familiarity being ordered to the staff, showing they have a loyal following of regular diners.

Opting to go straight to the main but just wetting the appetite were poppadums and chutneys, which arrived crisp and delicious, setting a strong tone for the meal. Simple but tasty leaving plenty of room for the big feed.

All finished, cleared, and huge hot plates arrived for the main event.

A wide selection of dishes showcased the variety on offer. Highlights included the ceylon lamb, rich and delicately spiced with the lamb tender and falling apart, alongside a much punchier chilli chicken for the braver diner and a flavourful prawn  madras with just the right amount of kick. Then of course an ever-popular butter chicken provided a milder, creamy contrast to cool things down.

Sides complemented the meal perfectly with mushroom rice, pilau rice and a selection of breads including kulcha naan, garlic naan and coriander naan, all crisp and hot and fluffy.

There are desserts on offer and a full bar that sits at the back of the restaurant with wines, spirits and beer available bottled and on draught.

Takeaways also proved to be popular for people to enjoy the curries at home

Service was efficient and paced nicely throughout the meal, ensuring a smooth experience, with dishes arriving at a comfortable rhythm. Left overs were packaged up in doggie bags to be able to enjoy another day. Many takeaway bags passed by our table proving it is also a popular choice for food delivery to feast on at home.

Main dishes at Jaipur Palace are typically priced around €10–€20, offering something for all budgets, then with sides and drinks it’s an average priced meal out, not the cheapest but good value for money when a few dishes are ordered to share.

The restaurant is located close to the camping site and is across the A-7 from the bustling port, with the beach and more bars to try for a pre or post drink and stroll. It has plenty of space to park out the front making it an easy choice for anyone wanting to enjoy a night of good flavourful food.

Reservations are recommended during busy periods, especially for larger groups. Bookings can be made by phone or in person, with takeaway also available. Jaipur Palace is located at Puerto de Cabopino, Local 7. on +34 952 83 69 68
