International Theatre Studio (ITS) is bringing the laughs, comedy and drama to El Paraiso Hotel for three nights in May with their lively production of ‘Ladies Day’.
Written by Amanda Whittington, Ladies Day follows four unlikely ladies from Hull. Pearl, Jan, Shelley and Linda, whose days are dominated by the relentless routine of work, love and life. The play revolves around their friendship as they try to find a little joy in the middle of the slog. When the elite horse racing event Royal Ascot is relocated to York, the women seize the chance for a change of scene and head off on Ladies Day for a flirt, a flutter and some fun, with a bottle of bubbly in tow. If their luck holds, they might even hit the jackpot and more.
ITS brings live theatre in a mix of genres to their audiences
The final cast list bringing this production to life are Margaret Dunkley, Hannah Murray, Eileen Audas, Beverley Stonehewer, Bernard Murray, David Grainge, Laurie Passman, PJ Lopez and David Dunkley. The show is directed by Sheila Mellor and produced by Andrea Stevens.
The International Theatre Studio is the longest established English-speaking amateur dramatic group on the coast. ITS is a non-profit organisation, originally formed in 1975, and is based across the Estepona, San Pedro Alcantara and Marbella area. Their goal is to bring live theatre to the English-speaking community on the coast, giving theatre lovers a mix of genres and styles, comedy and drama to lighter entertainment.

During the year, the group also organises readings, dinner theatre and murder mystery evenings, and is always looking for new talent to audition and take part.
