Around 100 motorbikes from Spain and Portugal are expected to arrive in Aspe this month as the town hosts part of a major national gathering for Suzuki Burgman enthusiasts.

The event will take place on Saturday, 23 May and forms part of the annual meeting organised by one of Spain’s best-known clubs dedicated to the popular Suzuki Burgman scooter range.

Riders from across the Iberian Peninsula are expected to travel to the Alicante municipality, creating a lively atmosphere in the town centre as dozens of motorcycles arrive together for the official stop.

The Burgman Association in the Valencian Community

The Burgman Association was founded in the Valencian Community in 2004 and has since expanded across Spain with regional groups and members throughout the country. Alongside regular monthly rides and local meet-ups, the club organises one large national gathering each year, bringing together owners and fans of the touring scooter range.

An official reception organised by Aspe Town Hall is scheduled for approximately 1.30 pm when the riders arrive in the municipality.

Club representative Enrique Vicedo said this year’s event is expected to attract around 100 motorcycles travelling from different parts of Spain as well as neighbouring Portugal.

Participants will stop in Aspe for lunch before continuing with the rest of the rally activities later in the day.

Organisers say the gathering offers a chance for local residents and visitors to see the large collection of motorcycles up close while enjoying the atmosphere created by the touring convoy.

Events like the Burgman meeting continue growing in popularity across Spain, combining motorcycle tourism, social gatherings and local hospitality while helping support businesses in the towns and cities visited during the routes.
