Asociación Hadas Caradas has announced the launch of The Hart Project, a new awareness and advocacy initiative dedicated to confronting domestic abuse and gender violence while expanding support for victims and survivors. The Hart Project has been created in memory of Victoria Hart, a mother of three, who lost her life to an act of gender violence in January 2026. A tragedy that shook the community of the Costa del Sol to its core.
The purpose of the project is to shine a light on the realities of abuse that too often remain hidden behind closed doors. Through education, community engagement, survivor-focussed support, and public awareness campaigns, the initiative seeks to encourage open dialogue, reduce stigma, and connect those affected with critical resources and support networks.
Domestic abuse and gender violence impact millions of individuals worldwide regardless of age, background, or socioeconomic status. The Hart Project aims to empower victims and survivors by reminding them they are not alone and that help is available. “Silence protects abuse. Awareness creates change,” said a spokesperson for Asociación Hadas Caradas. “The Hart Project’s aim is to amplify the voices of survivors, foster compassion within
communities, and encourage action toward prevention, protection, and healing.”
The initiative will include:
- Public awareness campaigns and educational outreach with presentations in schools etc.
- Victim support, guidance and assistance
- Survivor advocacy and support initiatives
- Community partnerships and events
- Resources promoting prevention, safety, and recovery
- Collaborations with organisations and advocates working to end gender violence
The Hart Project also calls on individuals, institutions, and community leaders to participate in creating safer environments where victims are believed, supported, and protected.
Asociación Hadas Caradas believes that meaningful change begins with education, empathy, and collective responsibility. By launching The Hart Project, the organisation hopes to inspire conversations that lead to action and ultimately contribute to a future free from abuse and violence.
“If you are a victim of domestic abuse or know somebody who is, you can contact our dedicated
one to one support number for support or guidance on 623 630 373 and speak to Vicki.”
