Organisers from a local charity, Age in Spain, are preparing to host a Charity Fun Day event, to take place at the La Manga Adventure Golf miniature golf course in Cabo de Palos. With a fun competitive atmosphere, a raffle with exciting prizes, and an afternoon of socialising, the event, set to take place on June 10, will be a fun gathering for members with a strong charitable heart.
A day of minigolf fun in Cabo de Palos, with a charitable purpose
The first tee-off at the event will take place at 11:00, and attendees can enjoy a fun-filled morning of minigolf. Afterwards, lunch will be offered, to share and socialise with the community, followed by a La Manga Drum Circle, where no previous musical or drumming experience will be required, and attendees can sit, socialise, and have fun.
One of the major highlights will be the presence of one of Age in Spain’s International Ambassadors, the British Sunday Times best-selling author Jane Corry, who will be there to present the raffle prizes. The prizes for the raffle will include two signed pre-publication copies of her new novel, ‘My Sister’s Secret’.
Another major prize being offered in the raffle are an individual flight in a light aircraft.
Stunning artisanal pottery pieces to be offered at the event
Also available will be beautiful artisanal pottery pieces, being sold at the event. These pottery pieces come from the close collaboration between the Murcia faction of Age in Spain and AideMar, another charity located at the Centro Especial de Empleo, or Special Employment Centre. At this centre, Age in Spain provides therapeutic music sessions for people with a wide range of cognitive and physical disabilities. All funds raised from the sale of pottery will be divided between Age in Spain and the Special Employment Centre.
All other funds raised during the event will be used by Age in Spain to support and develop their face-to-face services in the Region of Murcia.
