The Inclusive and Solidarity Chair Yoga event will take place this Saturday, June 6, starting at 10am. You couldn’t find a more scenic spot to relax and stretch than set against the beautiful, natural backdrop of the El Esparragal park in Mijas, the morning promises to be a life-affirming celebration of community well-being.
Yoga for everyone
Organised jointly by the Mijas Town Hall and the UP Mijas, the session aims to make the benefits of yoga accessible to absolutely everyone, regardless of age, fitness level, or mobility.
The main session will be led by professional UP Mijas instructor Raquel Gonzalez. As a guided and completely adapted chair yoga activity, participants can enjoy gentle stretching and mindfulness without the need to get down onto a traditional floor mat. Attendees are asked to wear comfortable clothing to fully enjoy the movements.
Supporting Casa Luna
All proceeds raised during the day will directly benefit the Casa Luna Women’s Association. This active local charity works continuously to support, guide, and empower women in the region who are navigating difficult personal processes or facing isolation.
To raise vital funds for their cause, a charity food and drink counter will be operating throughout the event. Every euro spent on refreshments goes straight toward funding Casa Luna’s ongoing community outreach and emotional support networks. The yoga session itself is completely free to attend
How to join
