Once more, the seaside town of Calpe is preparing to embrace the summer season on the Costa Blanca with the return of one of its most popular outdoor and nature-based activities, Zumba on the beach. This activity, brought back due to its popularity among residents and visitors, combines fitness, music, and Calpe’s idyllic coastline in a fun dance event that captures the essence of Mediterranean living in the summertime.
Running through the summer months: Dancing on the Costa Blanca beach
The event will run from Monday, June 22 to Friday, September 25 and will allow tourists and residents of Calpe alike to enjoy the peak summer months in a fun dancing activity, allowing them to socialise, get up and get active, and enjoy the beautiful beaches of the Costa Blanca town. The sound of the waves, the fresh air, and the bright sunshine will be the ultimate backdrop to this energetic and fun-filled activity for people of all ages.
When, where and how much it costs to participate in Calpe’s beach Zumba classes
Classes will take place at the Playa Mediterrani and the Playa de la Fossa, on Mondays at 8:00pm, as well as Thursdays at 9:00am. On the Playa Colon and the Playa del Arenal, the classes will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00am, allowing visitors and residents to attend the classes on almost any day they please.
Free of charge and open to all levels, the classes are designed to be inclusive and accessible to people of all fitness levels. Whether participants are seasoned fitness enthusiasts or simply looking to socialise or try something new, the sessions provide an easy way to get involved without any prior experience. The informal and welcoming environment has helped turn the activity into a regular fixture of Calpe’s summer calendar.
Reinforcing Calpe’s summertime appeal with exercise, music and views
Running throughout the summer months, the initiative reinforces Calpe’s reputation as a vibrant and active destination, where leisure, wellbeing, and tourism come together.
