Emily Ratajkowski returns to Mallorca and calls it her “favourite island”

For many celebrities, Mallorca is a summer stop-off. For Emily Ratajkowski, it is something far more personal.

The model, author and entrepreneur has returned to the Balearic island once again, sharing a series of sun-soaked holiday snaps with her millions of Instagram followers and declaring she was back on her “favourite island”. The post quickly attracted thousands of likes and comments, with fans swooning over both her fashion choices and the Mediterranean backdrop.

A childhood connection to Mallorca

Unlike many celebrity visitors who discover Mallorca later in life, Ratajkowski’s connection stretches back to her childhood. The London-born model, who grew up in California, spent summers in the inland Mallorcan town of Sant Joan until she was around 14 years old. She has previously described the island as holding a special place in her heart and has spoken about the importance of those formative years spent there.

Over the years she has repeatedly returned, often sharing nostalgic memories of the island and revisiting places connected to her childhood. In 2022 she brought her son Sylvester to Sant Joan, telling followers it was the place where she learned to walk and where she had spent countless summers growing up.

Mallorca once again takes centre stage

Her latest visit was revealed through an Instagram photo dump captioned: “Back on my favorite island (Mallorca!)” The images showed a mixture of beach days, Mediterranean food, scenic coastal views and family moments, all set against Mallorca’s familiar backdrop of crystal-clear waters and picturesque villages.

One image in particular grabbed attention: Ratajkowski posing in a dramatic sheer red Ferragamo dress overlooking the sea. The striking outfit became one of the most talked-about images from the collection, generating headlines across fashion and celebrity media.

The post also included a more light-hearted moment, showing the model losing her footing while attempting to pose on a stone ledge – proof that even supermodels have awkward holiday moments.

An A-list enthusiast of the island

While Mallorca regularly attracts A-list visitors, Ratajkowski’s affection for the island feels more authentic than many celebrity holiday romances.

Past trips have seen her exploring the Serra de Tramuntana, visiting villages including Valldemossa and Santanyí, spending time on some of Mallorca’s most famous beaches and enjoying local restaurants. She has even written messages in Mallorquín expressing her love for the island and describing it as a place that feels like home.

Her latest return comes as Mallorca enters the height of the summer season, with the island once again proving irresistible to celebrities, influencers and travellers from around the world, including recent visits from the likes of Kris Jenner, as well as actress and comedian Amy Schumer.

For Ratajkowski, however, Mallorca appears to be more than a holiday destination. It is the island where childhood memories were made, family traditions began and, judging by her latest post, a place she never tires of returning to.
