Muchamiel has rolled out a spectacular summer programme that will put the spotlight on the municipality from the beginning of July to the beginning of August. The spectacular L’Estiu a Mutxamel programme will transform local landmarks into open-air theatres, concert arenas, and starlit spaces. At the heart of this cultural explosion is a diverse summer calendar designed to blend high-profile entertainment with community traditions, making it the perfect excuse to embrace local life.
Jazz, opera, and traditional melodies under the stars
The programme will appeal to a wide audience; for instance, jazz lovers are in for a treat with the arrival of the Viraleón Swingtet Trio. This group, defined by its powerful lead voice and charismatic stage presence, is set to transport audiences back to the golden era of jazz.
Adding to the musical aspect of the agenda is the highly anticipated performance by Albaladre en concerto, an Alicante-based music and vocal group which has been celebrated as one of the most endearing and versatile ensembles in the province. Taking the stage at the picturesque Parque El Canyar de les Portelles, Albaladre will fill the open air with joy, rhythm, and a rich set reflecting their extensive and prestigious trajectory across the Spanish music scene.
Interactive circus workshops and family theatre for all ages
Family-friendly theatre and interactive learning will also take centre stage at this summertime event. Children and parents can dive into the world of performing arts with the Escuela de Circo, giving the little ones an unforgettable, hands-on experience. From aerial structures with hoops and silks to tightrope walking, giant balls, and face painting, the workshop balances visual wonder with active participation.
Following the circus theme, the programme also includes the production from Clowndestino, “Fear? Me? A Terrifically Funny Story.” This show, held at the Plaça Nova, follows the whimsical adventures of Filomena and her mother, Casil, in a mysterious mansion to deliver a perfect mix of laughter, suspense, and family fun.
Additionally, Muchamiel welcomes a grand touch of high culture with the concert “Les Arts amb tu”, an initiative bringing world-class lyrical and opera performances directly to the local public.
Muchamiel is making a definitive statement this season: you don’t need to travel far to experience world-class entertainment, rich culture, and a passionate community spirit.
