The Costa Blanca’s charity sector continues to thrive thanks to the dedication of volunteers, local businesses and community groups organising fundraising events throughout the year. From fashion shows and craft fairs to weekly markets and charity shops, there are plenty of opportunities for residents and visitors to support worthwhile causes while enjoying a day out. Whether raising money for rescued horses, dogs or local community projects, every event helps make a positive difference across the region.
Stylish support for Easy Horse Care in Quesada
Fashion lovers can enjoy an afternoon of style while helping a local animal charity at a special fundraising fashion show in Ciudad Quesada.
The event will take place at The Club Quesada, Calle Toledo 24, Ciudad Quesada, with all proceeds supporting Easy Horse Care Rescue Centre, a Rojales-based charity that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes abandoned, abused and neglected horses, ponies and donkeys.
Guests can enjoy an afternoon featuring the latest fashions and live music.
Founded in 2008, Easy Horse Care has rescued hundreds of animals over the years and provides lifelong care for many horses and donkeys that cannot be rehomed because of age, illness or previous neglect. The charity also works to educate the public about responsible animal ownership and relies heavily on donations and fundraising events to continue its work.
The fashion show offers a chance to enjoy an afternoon out while directly supporting the rescue centre’s ongoing work caring for vulnerable animals.
Event tickets cost €5 per person. The Fashion show will take place on 25 July from 3:00 PM onwards.
For more information or to book your place, call (+34) 711 076 139.

Pawsome crafts supporting Finding Forever Homes in Pinoso
LOCAL crafters are being invited to support a Pinoso dog rescue by taking part in a charity craft fair at Harry’s Pub this July.
The event will take place on Tuesday, 14 July, from 11:00 AM, with all table fees being donated to Finding Forever Homes (FFH) 5R’s, a registered dog rescue based near Pinoso.
Tables cost €5 each and are limited, with anyone wishing to exhibit asked to contact John on (+34) 642 609 357 as soon as possible to reserve a space.
Visitors will be able to browse a range of handmade gifts, local crafts and unique creations while supporting local makers and helping raise funds for rescued dogs. Food will be available throughout the day, and the bar will be serving hot and cold drinks.
You will find Harry’s Pub at Plaza Colon 9 in Pinoso.
Finding Forever Homes was founded by Chelsea Watson in 2020 after she moved to Spain to pursue her dream of rescuing and rehoming abandoned dogs. In 2024, the organisation officially became The 5R’s Association.
Over the past five years, the charity has found homes for hundreds of dogs and, with the support of volunteers in Spain and the UK, continues to provide rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming for animals in need.
