Wine lovers have another reason to head to Mallorca’s picturesque northeast coast this weekend as the Raïm Wine Fest arrives in Colònia de Sant Pere for the first time on Saturday, July 4.
Taking place along the seafront promenade from 5pm until 2am, the free-entry festival celebrates the island’s thriving wine culture with tastings from around 15 Mallorcan wineries, alongside live music, local food and a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. Glasses of wine start from just €3, making it an accessible evening for both serious wine enthusiasts and those simply looking for a memorable summer night out.
A celebration of Mallorca’s vineyards
Organised by Vi de la Terra Mallorca, the travelling festival aims to showcase wines produced across the island while giving visitors the opportunity to meet the winemakers behind them.
Guests can sample a wide variety of reds, whites and rosés made using both native and international grape varieties, while learning more about Mallorca’s growing reputation as one of the Mediterranean’s emerging wine destinations. The festival has become increasingly popular in recent years, touring different parts of the island and helping to promote local wineries and producers.
Food, music and a stunning coastal backdrop
The event is about far more than wine. A selection of food trucks and local gastronomy will be available throughout the evening, with dishes designed to pair with the wines on offer.
Live entertainment will keep the atmosphere lively, with performances from Panterra DJ Set, One Man Rocks, Xaranga Els Esparralls, Jimmy’s Fantasy and Aina Losange, creating a festival atmosphere beside the sea.
The setting is one of the festival’s biggest attractions. Colònia de Sant Pere remains one of Mallorca’s quieter coastal villages, and its waterfront provides the perfect place to enjoy a summer sunset with a glass of local wine in hand.
Supporting local producers
This year’s event will also shine a spotlight on wineries from the municipality of Artà, alongside producers from across Mallorca. Organisers hope the festival will encourage visitors to discover more about the island’s wine industry while also supporting local restaurants and businesses during the busy summer season.
Following successful editions elsewhere on the island, including S’Arracó, where organisers reported crowds of around 3,000 people earlier this year, expectations are high for another lively evening on Mallorca’s northeast coast.
Whether you’re looking to discover a new favourite wine, enjoy live music by the sea or simply experience an authentic Mallorcan summer event away from the larger resorts, Raïm Wine Fest promises one of the island’s tastiest evenings this July.
