With soft sea breezes, the soothing sound of rolling waves, and a perfect view, Benissa has just the thing for a perfect summer morning for more active residents and visitors. Throughout July and to the end of August, the local tourism board has brought back its popular “Yoga on the Benissa Coast” sessions, offering people in the municipality a serene way to start their day and find their zen.
Find your zen by the sea in Benissa
Taking place every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9:00am to 9:45am, these open-air yoga sessions are designed to help you disconnect from daily stress and reconnect with nature. Held right by the beautiful Benissa Playa Tourist Office area, the classes take full advantage of the town’s stunning, rugged Mediterranean landscape.
Accessible wellness for everyone
The morning timing of the classes allows visitors to enjoy the summer sun without overwhelming heat, when the coastal atmosphere is at its most peaceful. The classes will be led by experienced instructors, to help welcome both seasoned yoga practitioners as well as curious newcomers of all fitness levels. If you are trying out your very first downward dog, practicing with a panoramic view of the turquoise waters of Benissa is an unforgettable way to move your body.
These wellness sessions, in order to promote the accessibility of the event, will be entirely free of charge and courtesy of Benissa NaturSport. Designed to encourage outdoor movement and showcase the natural beauty of the municipality’s local coves and beaches, this initiative will unite the community and help residents to stay active.
How to secure your spot by the sand
The classes officially began at the beginning of July and will run through August 27, to make the most of the summer. Because these classes are highly popular among both holidaymakers and residents, spaces are limited to ensure everyone has enough room to stretch out comfortably. To secure your spot on the sand, you must register in advance through the official municipal booking system. Simply bring your own yoga mat or a large beach towel, some water, and an open mind.
Residents and visitors should not miss the chance to elevate their summer routine, roll out their mat, breathe in the salty Mediterranean air, and let the tranquil coast of Benissa ground them.
