Los Alcazares is celebrating one of its most anticipated events, due to light up the shores of its beaches through to the end of August. Solmarket Murcia, an open-air festival involving food trucks, live entertainment, and artisan stalls, has officially kicked off on the final day of July and transformed the Parque del Gonio in Los Alcazares into a gathering of coastal charm, world flavours, and dynamic energy under the warm Mediterranean skies.

Global flavours and gourmet street food: sweet treats and dietary options for everyone

The main appeal of the festival is its diverse food truck lineup, which will feature more than a dozen mobile kitchens to serve up an array of international foods. Visitors can enjoy authentic Mexican tacos and quesadillas, traditional Colombian fare, and Asian cuisine including freshly prepared sushi and wok-tossed noodles. There will also be artisan pizzas and gourmet sandwiches available, as well as a variety of other offerings.

The sweet offerings are just as expansive, featuring hot crepes, artisanal cookies, milkshakes from Bobbolitas, and gourmet pops from Pops’n Bobs. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free alternatives ensure there is something for every palate to enjoy in the coastal breeze.

Live music, artisan markets, and family entertainment

Solmarket will also offer entertainment for residents of all ages, from the littlest ones in Los Alcazares to the elderly. The central stage of the venue will feature a daily lineup of tribute concerts, live band performances, and DJ sets providing the perfect soundtrack to the evening. Shoppers can also stroll through an artisan craft market packed with unique handmade goods, summer fashion, and local accessories. For families, dedicated play zones, creative workshops, and interactive performances will be available to keep younger children active and having fun.

Free entry along the Los Alcazares shore: more than a market or festival

Along Los Alcazares’ picturesque beaches, the event will be completely free to enter, accessible, and pet friendly, making it one of the standout events on the Mar Menor and an ideal gathering place for residents, neighbours, and anyone interested.

“More than a market or a festival, Solmarket is an experience that connects people and gives visibility to projects with soul,” states the official website for the event. “An event designed to be enjoyed, discovered, and to be part of something different.”
