Still time to join Manilva’s Corruco night run by the sea

With just days left on the clock to register, anyone based in or visiting the Manilva area can still grab a place to join the popular 6km Corruco Race returning on Saturday, August 15. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or expert runner, there is a spot open if you fancy a go.

Why this race gets bigger every year

Now in its 14th edition, the Corruco Race has grown into a proper sweaty summer tradition for families, fitness lovers and social runners across Manilva, Sabinillas and La Duquesa. Past editions have filled the coastal route with hundreds of participants, from first‑timers chasing a personal best to seasoned club athletes pushing for a place on the podium. Organisers are expecting a strong turnout again, with 700 spots on offer and more than 400 already registered.

What keeps people coming back is the delightful atmosphere. The course follows the seafront promenade from Sabinillas towards La Duquesa marina, a gorgeous route with A post‑race refreshment point and a small prize‑giving with trophies. A touch that fits both competitive runners and those simply after a memorable night out.

How to enter and what’s included

Online registration is open until 2pm on Thursday, August 13 via the Dorsalchip portal. Late sign‑ups may be possible on the day up to 6pm, subject to availability. Entry fees are €15 for adults and €10 for junior categories.

Every participant receives a race number with chip timing, a technical T‑shirt and entry into a prize draw during the awards ceremony. Medals and trophies go to the top three men and women in each category, but all finishers get to indulge and enjoy the post‑race refreshments.

Timetable and family‑friendly races

The evening starts at 7pm just as the sting comes out of the sun, with children’s races over 400m and 800m, split by age group from under‑8s up to under‑14s. The main 6km race for adults and older juniors begins at 8pm, with the event finishing up around 10pm. Start and finish are in Sabinillas, with the official route beginning near Calle Duquesa de Arcos on the seafront.
