Parking in Marbella can be tricky, driving round and round to find a small space to squeeze into for free, only to find you have to give in and go into an actual car park. Good news, as during September, those heading to the centre can enjoy discounted all-day parking passes worth less than €3 across three of the city’s busiest car parks.
What’s on offer
From September 7 to 29 inclusive, motorists will be able to leave their vehicles for a full 12 hours for as little as €2.39, thanks to a renewed partnership between Marbella Council and parking operator Telpark. The scheme, known as Multipass, applies to three central car parks: Terrazas de Marbella, Marbell Center and Mercado Central.
Prices vary slightly depending on which car park drivers choose. A 12-hour pass costs €2.39 at Terrazas de Marbella, €2.59 at Marbell Center, and €2.99 at the Marbella Market, all significantly cheaper than standard rates.
How to get your hands on a pass
Unlike a typical pay-and-display ticket, these discounted passes cannot be bought individually. Instead, drivers need to download the Telpark app and purchase them in bundles of five, ten or twenty. Once secured, each Multipass can be redeemed for a 12-hour stay at any of the three participating car parks, making it an easy option for regular visitors, commuters and shoppers.
Why the council is doing it
Local councillor Enrique Rodriguez said the scheme is designed to make it easier for residents and visitors to run errands, do their shopping and go about daily business in the centre, while giving local trade a boost. Similar discount campaigns have run periodically since 2023, often timed to coincide with key shopping periods such as the January sales or the back-to-school rush.
A bonus for electric car owners
Drivers of electric vehicles stand to benefit even further. Every Multipass bundle purchased will also include a 30% discount on EV charging, a perk that runs considerably longer than the parking offer itself – right through until December 31
With the September discount only available for a limited three-week window, motorists keen to make the most of the offer will need to download the Telpark app and stock up on passes before the promotion ends.
