Torremolinos is about to become one giant, living canvas for a weekend with free giveaways and incredible art shows

This Urban art festival costs less than a bus ticket but delivers a whole lot of colour and style

Torremolinos is hosting the Urban Art Fest Malaga from Friday, September 4 to Sunday, September 6 2026, a festival all about live creativity rather than passive spectating. Held at the Palacio de Congresos, the event brings together more than and increadible 170 international tattoo artists, graffiti crews and performers for three packed days.

Artists are the main attraction

Fine-line tattooists work walk-in booths across the entire weekend, meaning visitors can leave with fresh ink without booking weeks in advance. Graffiti battles run side by side with the tattooing, with painters working large-scale pieces in real time as crowds watch the walls transform. Live music and performance acts fill the gaps between contests, from opening to close each day.

What’s on across three days

Friday kicks things off from 11am to 8pm with an opening ceremony, an art auction and a Hannya-themed art contest, followed by graffiti battle awards. Saturday runs 10am to 8pm and will wow with The Fuel Girls’ fire performance plus a live set from Kid Legra. Sunday the festival runs between 10am and 6pm with final contests, more live music and a closing awards ceremony celebrating the weekend’s best work.

Markets, artists and a sense of community

As well as the ink and spray paint, a curated trading floor runs over the 3 days, featuring art prints, clothing, jewellery and tattoo supplies from independent studios and brands. Organisers describe the market as something built to sit inside the festival’s own identity, rather than an afterthought bolted onto the programme, giving visitors a chance to buy directly from the creators whose work they’ve just watched come together.

How much it costs and how to get in

Entrance for all three days costs just €1, with a single pass covering every show, contest and performance across the weekend. Visitors need to bring valid ID, as entry can be refused without it. Passes are available to download online ahead of the event, and organisers have already opened pre-registration for the 2027 edition, scheduled for October 15 to 17 at the same venue.
