Good Morning Spain is taking its mission to connect the international community with Spain to a much bigger audience, expanding its terrestrial television coverage into Almería, Murcia and Madrid just weeks before celebrating three years on air.

Already broadcast across Andalucía, the popular English-language programme is now adding Almería TV, Canal 1 in Murcia and Canal 33 in Madrid to its growing network. The move could put the programme in front of several million additional viewers, with more areas already being discussed.

Good Morning Spain reaches new Spanish cities

Presented and produced by British journalist and Euro Weekly News columnist Nicole King, the programme reaches its 151st edition this week and celebrates its third anniversary on 28 September.

Filmed weekly at the studios of the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella, each one-hour episode brings together the best of Spanish culture, gastronomy, destinations and lifestyle with the practical information international residents need to navigate life in Spain. From property and legal matters to healthcare, food and everyday life, Good Morning Spain aims to make Spain easier to understand and enjoy.

Its motto, “Helping people connect with Spain”, has become increasingly relevant as the country’s international population continues to expand.

Spain’s international community continues to grow

At the beginning of 2025, Spain was home to 9.46 million foreign-born residents, with almost a quarter, 24.4%, having arrived during the previous two years.

That rapid turnover highlights why accessible, English-language information channels remain important. New arrivals are continually learning how Spain works, while established international residents still want to discover more about the country they have chosen to call home.

The programme’s new broadcast areas reflect this demand. Almería has one of Spain’s most significant international populations, with foreign nationals making up around 24% of residents. The Region of Murcia has more than 1.6 million residents and a substantial international community, particularly along the coast and around the Mar Menor.

Good Morning Spain heads for Madrid

Perhaps the biggest milestone is the arrival of Good Morning Spain in Madrid. The programme began on the Costa del Sol, so reaching the Spanish capital represents a major new chapter. And the potential audience is huge. During the first six months of 2026 alone, Madrid welcomed more than 5.6 million visitors, including 3.34 million international visitors.

The programme also has something to offer Spanish viewers, providing an entertaining way to practise English while seeing their country through international eyes. For Spanish businesses, organisations and destinations, the expanding network creates another valuable route to reach international audiences.

The success of Good Morning Spain, which airs every Monday at 10am, would not have been possible without the hard work of Nicole King and her dedicated team.
