Around 20,000 people descended on Palma this weekend as elrow transformed Son Fusteret into a spectacular electronic music festival for one of Mallorca’s biggest parties of the summer.
The hugely popular elrow XXL event took place on Saturday, August 29, bringing thousands of music fans together for hours of DJs, dancing, performers and the colourful production the international festival brand is famous for.
20,000 revellers descend on Palma
The scale of the event was clear as around 20,000 people filled Son Fusteret for the Mallorca edition of elrow XXL.
Festival-goers arrived from across the island and beyond to experience the huge outdoor party, which ran from the afternoon until 2am.
Rather than simply offering a line-up of DJs, elrow events are designed as immersive experiences, combining electronic music with elaborate stage sets, performers, costumes and eye-catching installations.
That distinctive combination was on full display in Palma, turning Son Fusteret into a colourful festival playground.
Four stages of electronic music
The Mallorca event featured four stages, giving revellers plenty of opportunities to move between different areas throughout the night.
The programme was built around house and electronic music, with DJs providing a continuous soundtrack as the crowds danced through the evening.
The XXL format is one of elrow’s biggest event concepts, bringing the atmosphere of the brand’s famous club parties to much larger outdoor venues.
For those attending, the result was a full-scale festival experience rather than a conventional night out.
elrow brings its famous spectacle to Mallorca
Elrow has become internationally recognised for its extravagant and playful approach to electronic music.
Its events are known for turning dancefloors into immersive worlds, with colourful themes, theatrical performances, oversized props and elaborate decorations all forming part of the experience.
The brand has established a major following among electronic music fans around the world, making its Mallorca events a significant fixture on the island’s summer party calendar.
The latest event once again demonstrated the appeal of combining Mallorca’s summer tourism with large international music productions.
Another huge summer event for Palma
The 20,000-strong crowd made the elrow XXL party one of the standout music events of the Mallorca summer.
Son Fusteret provided the space needed for the enormous production, with multiple stages and thousands of people enjoying the festival until the early hours.
For Mallorca, events of this scale continue to reinforce the island’s reputation as a major destination for music, nightlife and international entertainment.
And for the 20,000 people who packed into Son Fusteret, Saturday night offered a full dose of the colourful, chaotic and energetic party atmosphere that has made elrow famous around the world.
