Lemon Pop Festival celebrates 30 years with stellar lineup in Murcia

Murcia’s iconic Lemon Pop Festival is gearing up to celebrate its 30th anniversary during the annual Feria de Murcia, delivering three decades of alternative and indie pop history. The festival, kicking off earlier in the month, will take over the Auditorio Murcia Parque and select boutique venues for its crescendo.

Lemon Pop takes Murcia: Spanish indie rock takes the stage on Friday

The main weekend marathon launches on Friday, September 11, when doors open at Auditorio Murcia Parque for an energetic night showcasing the cutting edge of Spanish indie rock. The line-up features sharp, satirical garage-rockers Camellos alongside the genre-blending Los Mejillones Tigre. Joining them on the Friday setlist are post-punk outfit Ezezez, atmospheric dream-pop band Cora Yako, and local favourites Pértiga, offering a continuous evening of high-voltage live music in the open-air venue.

International headliners and daytime shows on Saturday

The festival will reach its peak on Saturday, September 12, with a stacked schedule that spans across the city. The day begins at 12:30pm with an intimate daytime performance by pop-trio Perdón at Locoloco Vintage. As evening falls, attention shifts back to the Auditorio Murcia Parque for the final main-stage showcase featuring international headliners. British indie-pop legends The Boo Radleys take centre stage alongside French synth-pop veterans Exsonvaldes. Rounding out the Saturday night bill are Espiricom, Juventude, and Blue Cheese, ensuring a grand finale filled with soaring melodies and classic 90s-inspired nostalgia.

Beyond the evening concerts, attendees can drop by Los Molinos del Río through September 19 to catch “30 años de Lemon Pop en sus carteles,” a retrospective poster exhibition documenting thirty years of festival history.
