British royal Lady Amelia Windsor enjoys Mallorca sunshine as she shares glimpse of September getaway

Lady Amelia Windsor has swapped the British autumn for Mallorca sunshine, giving her social media followers a glimpse of a late-summer island escape.

The 31-year-old, who is 44th in line to the British throne, has been enjoying a break in Mallorca and shared a series of holiday images on Instagram under the caption “September swims and sunshine”.

A royal with a fashion following

Lady Amelia is a member of the extended British royal family and has carved out a public profile through fashion, modelling and her interest in sustainable living.

She is the daughter of George Windsor, Earl of St Andrews, and Sylvana Tomaselli, Countess of St Andrews. Her father is the eldest son of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, making him a cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II and second cousin of King Charles III.

Away from royal duties, Amelia has developed a career in the fashion industry. She made her catwalk debut for Dolce & Gabbana at Milan Fashion Week in 2017 and has subsequently worked with a number of major fashion names, including Chanel and Azzedine Alaïa.

She was also featured on the cover of Vogue Japan and has contributed to Tatler.com as a fashion editor. Her Instagram account now has more than 101,000 followers, where she regularly highlights fashion, travel and sustainability.

Mallorca remains a royal favourite

Amelia’s visit adds another royal connection to an island that has long been associated with Britain’s royal family, along with an A-list celebrity crowd.

Mallorca has welcomed generations of British royals over the decades, with the island’s combination of beaches, warm weather and Mediterranean lifestyle making it a familiar destination for high-profile visitors.

The island has also maintained strong links with the wider European royal family, particularly through the Spanish royal family’s long-standing connection with Mallorca.

For Amelia, however, this latest visit appears to have been a more relaxed affair, with her Instagram post focusing on swimming and sunshine rather than official engagements.

Her September getaway also highlights the appeal of Mallorca beyond the traditional peak summer season. With temperatures often remaining warm into early autumn, the island continues to attract visitors looking for sunshine after the busiest weeks of July and August have passed.

And while Lady Amelia may be far from the most senior member of the Windsor family, her latest holiday shows that Mallorca’s royal appeal is still very much alive.
