Vine Church Pinoso Harvest Festival supports local food appeal

Vine Church Pinoso is combining its annual Harvest Festival with a food collection to support two organisations helping people in need.

The English-speaking Christian church will hold its Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 4 at 11:00 AM, with residents invited to attend the service and contribute to the charity collection if they wish. Donations of dried and tinned food will support the work of Cruz Roja and Caritas.

The Sunday service will focus on giving thanks for the year’s provisions and will include traditional harvest hymns.

The celebration offers local residents an opportunity to take part in a traditional Harvest Festival, with both regular members of the congregation and newcomers welcome to attend.

Vine Church Pinoso is an English-speaking church, making the service particularly accessible to international residents living in Pinoso and the surrounding area.

Refreshments will be served following the service, providing an opportunity for those attending to stay afterwards, meet other members of the community and chat.

Food donations will support local charities

Alongside the church service, organisers are collecting dried and tinned food for Cruz Roja and Caritas.

The collection provides a practical way for people attending the Harvest Festival to help local families and individuals who need additional support.

Food donations are entirely optional, so there is no requirement to bring anything in order to attend the service.

Anyone who would like to contribute is encouraged to bring suitable non-perishable food items with them on the day. These will then be donated to support the charitable work carried out by the two organisations.

International residents are welcome to attend

The combination of the traditional Harvest Festival and food collection gives residents the opportunity to mark the occasion while also helping people in need within the wider community.

As services are held in English, the church also provides a familiar setting for international residents who would like to attend a Christian service in the area.
