Los Alcazares Solidarity Paella draws crowds to support Cáritas charity event

Los Alcazares recently celebrated the tenth edition of the Cáritas Solidarity Paella, an event that packed the local sports pavilion and brought together residents, visitors, friends, and neighbours in the venue for the much-loved community event, all with a clear purpose in mind: supporting those most in need.

Once again, the charity and gastronomic event showcased the incredible generosity of the town, drawing a large crowd of people eager to contribute to the cause. Attendees gathered to enjoy a traditional shared meal – a delicious and savoury paella – while also showing their support for the work carried out by Cáritas in the municipality, a non-profit organisation that focuses on helping vulnerable and excluded people in Los Alcazares and beyond.

Cáritas: Supporting vulnerable people on the Costa Calida and beyond

Contributions made during the event went towards supporting Cáritas’ ongoing social initiatives, which provide assistance to individuals and families on the Costa Calida and beyond. Through a network of more than 2,500 volunteers, Cáritas has directly helped nearly 29,000 vulnerable people.

“We promote the empowerment of people to defend their human rights in the three areas of integral development: basic needs, meaning of life, and social participation,” states the official Cáritas website.
